The 2016 Cultural Show hosted by the UCKAR Hindu Student’s Society is happening this Saturday, 20th August, so get ready, and get excited!
Apart from the authentically exquisite three-course Indian meal, the evening promises some stellar performances by some of the university’s best and brightest! Rhodes DanceSport will once again return from last year’s memorable performance (featuring Activate’s very own Jomiro Eming), and other acts such as the Dance Society and Port Elizabeth’s Natyakshetra Dance Academy will take the stage as well.
Also featuring in the line-includes some singing from Signature Sounds and Seepra Rath, a modelling show, a magic show by Brendon Peel, and some new acts to the cultural show, such as poi-dancing, a juggling-yo-yoing duo, and Sonam Singh’s Motion Experiment.
The Bollywood Divas, as well as Anjali and Areshni’s Indian dancing, will celebrate and remind us about some of the far-reaching and taken-for-granted gems of Indian culture. And of course, the main event of the night will be the highly anticipated First Year Dance show, where the new students get a chance to shake and salsa on stage.
Tickets are running out fast, so be sure to buy yours from the HSS stall at the Kaif, every day from 9am to 1pm! The tickets include the three-course meal, as well as free entrance to the after-party at Prime.
