Mass excitement has been stirring since rumours have been circulating about a South African version of popular dance music festival, Tomorrowland, which was said to be coming to South Africa in 2015.
In a post earlier this week, we referred to links which suggested that the Tomorrowland Festival would be held at the Fairview Wine and Cheese farm in 2015. However, recent reports have made clear that some of these rumours are untrue.
According to a statement that was released by Fairview Wine and Cheese on their Facebook page, there was no agreement to hold the event at its venue and they denied the rumours.
MarkLives.com, who released the first article concerning the festival, received their information about the event from VWV Massive MD, Lloyd Cornwall. They spoke to him again to clear up the rumours that are floating around.
Cornwall explained that it is a long and intricate process when trying to execute staging an event of this magnitude. He said that although some rumours are true, others are just a product of hearsay.
VWV Massive is well on its way to covering all bases needed in order to make this event a reality, but will not release an official announcement until they have managed to finalise the details.
“The process of diligence is very detailed and should this conclude positively there will be an official announcement that will cover all the facts,” said Cornwall.
Thus, we are not saying that the event isn’t going to happen, it just hasn’t been finalised yet. Keep an eye out for more details!
