After a failure to reach quorum and some controversial campaigns, the new SRC members have been annouced.

The new SRC President is Sakhe Badi, with 1113 votes, and his former competitor and new Vice President is Brad Bense with 552 votes. The third member of the SRC Secretariat is the new Secretary General Mathaabe Thabane, with 1242 votes.

The other new members are:

• Treasurer – Ntsikelelo Qoyo, 858 votes
• International Affairs Councillor – Ndana Tendayi, 1318 votes
• Oppidan Councillor – Sixolile Timothy, 164 votes
• Media Councillor – Sarah Jones, 530 votes
• Academic Councillor – Victor Mafuku,720 votes
• Activism and Transformation – Mbongeni Ngwenya, 697 votes
• Community Engagement Councillor – Thabo Seshoka, 1213 votes
• Environmental Councillor – Luke Cadden, 1286 votes
• Projects Manager – Carey Frazer, 1185 votes
• Residence Councillor – Khanyisile Phiri, 732 votes
• Societies Councillor – Amanda Green, 968 votes
• Student Benefits Councillor – Naledi Pholo, 1241 votes
