The Goddess of pop culture, Beyoncé, has recently lauched her fashion line, Ivy Park. The ‘Formation’ singer joined forces with the CEO of Topshop, Sir Phillip Green to launch her new line. Ivy Park captures the active wear look as well as athleisure. In a recent exclusive interview with Elle Magazine, the pop star says “…growing older made me get more into health and fitness. I realized that there wasn’t really an athletic brand for women like myself or my dancers or friends.”
The range is especially appropriate and suitable for running, jumping, cycling or just looking good in the gym. According to Queen B the line celebrates women and the appreciation they should have for their bodies, “I thought of Ivy Park as an idyllic place for women like us” she says. Green also describes this very authentic line ideal for “women who go to the health club as well as those who just want to look as if they do.” However even though the look is strictly high-end sportswear, it has been infused with elements that can be made casual.
The whole purpose of the attire allows you to look good and be comfortable while governing the maximum support needed when working out. Though people have questioned the name of the line, Beyoncé explained the metaphorical ideology behind Ivy Park, saying “I called it Ivy Park because the park is our [women] commonality…we can all go there, we’re all welcomed.” The collection will be available by 14 April 2016 in 20 Countries, including South Africa. It will exclusively be sold at all Topshop branches. There is a student discount that has been made available, so do get excited.
