Another Derby Lost

With the two of the best goalkeepers in the country, Mzansi’s number 1 & 2 facing each other. Amabhakabhaka showed why they are the Premiership Champions, at Soccer City, where 87 171 spectators came to watch the two Soweto giants takling each other. Ezimnyama beat Izimpofana 3-2, after a good perfomance from the two sides.

Benni McCarthy, who produced a man-of-the-match perfomance, played his first ever derby,and he scored on the 9th minute and Jali made it 2-0 on the 21st, three minutes later, Benni scored his second of the match to make it 7 goals in the league and 9 in all competitions. Chiefs left winger Simphiwe Shabalala, who was playing in middle field in this match, pulled one back on the 33th minute, to keep his side in the game.

This match proved match to be at a high standard, because before these two giants would go at a half time, 0-0 or maybe 1-1, but now with Pirates scoring 3 goals in 30 minutes, it showed how seriously they are about retaining their Cup. The services of Tlou Segolela were really helpful, as he displayed a good perfomance with his runs, which Chiefs defence could not cope with, as they were struggling to keep him  at bay.

With Augusto Palacios ( caretaker) on the stands, as Coach Julio Leal is suspended, Amabhakabhaka did not disappoint their short tempered fans.

On the other side at the Newlands Rugby Stadium in Cape Town, Mamelodi Sundowns sank Ajax Cape Town,3-0, following their win, where they beat Powerlines Fc by 24-0. the goals coming from Elias Pelembe on the 39th minute, Teko “General” Modise, who has now found his form scored on the 51st minute and katlego “Killer” Mphela,who has been struggling with his form, as he last scored in November 2011. bangged in what seemed to be the best goal of the match, taking his tally to 10th league goal so far, joint together with Siyabonga Nomvethe.
