The airline’s final flight was at 15h00 on Friday afternoon.
According to Business Report, the sudden grounding of all 1time flights have left many stranded with no transportation for planned trips.
Outrage has been expressed at the decision, which passengers were given no prior notice of. Many have had to pay expensive fees to fly on other airlines or have been forced to not fly at all.
Business Report has also claimed that passengers will not be seeing any refunds for their tickets for a while.
1Time CEO, Blacky Komani, has no statement for the press or 1time customers. He told Eyewitness News, “I’m too emotional to say anything”.
In the meantime, customers affected by the airline’s liquidation have been urged by Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) to contact 1time on (011) 086-8300 or (011) 086-8000.
